Dear Beloved Friends and Supporters,

We’re reaching out with an exciting update on the Agape Peace Project and a renewed call to action. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Your generosity is already bearing fruit—let’s keep going!

Milestone Reached: $5,000 Raised!

Thanks to your compassionate hearts, we’ve raised $5,000! These funds will be sent following Monday, August 18, 2025, to support 100 refugee families for a month with essential food like rice, canned goods, and oil. We’re on our way to the $30,000 goal to start with 200 families at $50/month for three months ($150/family total per family)—just $25,000 more to go. Additional donations will expand church outreach to share the Gospel further. Can we count on you to help close the gap?

On-the-Ground Impact: Pastors Visiting and Evangelizing

Three of our supported pastors visited returnees in three different areas, witnessing the hardships and offering encouragement. Pastor Niya’s church hosted evangelical meetings where 300 people gathered, receiving food gifts and hearing the message of Christ’s hope—many lives were touched!

Stories from Returned Laborers: Real Lives in Crisis

These testimonies from the parents of students supported by Agape Way remind us why this work matters:

  1. Panha and Lyhov’s parents went to Thailand months ago due to a lack of work in Cambodia, but the war turned Thai people aggressive. They were mistreated, denied full wages, and saw fellow Cambodians beaten. On the journey home, taxis tripled prices, and threatening police drained their resources. They spent nearly all their money, waited hours at the closed border in hunger and thirst, and arrived home with no place to stay except relatives’. Now in debt for four months, they depend on family and seek jobs.
  2. Sophen’s parents worked in Thailand for years but returned empty-handed amid aggression from police and employers, who offered no protection. They were forced to flee as many Cambodians were thrown into prison. At the border, they slept overnight in fear, but praise God, the Cambodian police provided food upon entry. Now home, they search for work to rebuild.

The war continues, with villages warned of possible evacuation and the fragile ceasefire under strain after the unresolved August 5 meeting. Nineteen soldiers remain detained (one killed), and laborers are stranded and tortured in Thailand. Your gifts are a beacon in this darkness!

Let’s Reach $30,000 Together

We’ve started strong, but thousands more need help. The pastors will start with 100 families for the first month, but if the Lord provides more through you, we can help additional ones. Donate now or contact Frank and Anna to help us toward $30,000. Every contribution feeds bodies and shares the Gospel! Please continue to share the needs with your church, family, and friends.

Pray with Us

Please join in praying that:

  • Lasting peace will come between Thailand and Cambodia to end this war.
  • More people will come to know the Lord through this aid.
  • The lives of these 200 families will be rebuilt with hope and provision.
  • The Lord will mobilize churches in Cambodia and around the world to help with this crisis

Phearum

Say Yon
