Wheels of Hope: Bicycles for Village Children

September 2026

Children receiving bicycles in a Cambodian village

For a child in rural Cambodia, a bicycle can be the difference between going to church and staying home.

In one village, 20 children have now received brand-new bicycles — bright bikes with baskets, handed over to joyful children surrounded by their families and neighbors. For about $50–$75 apiece, a sturdy bike puts worship, Sunday school, and classes within reach of a child who would otherwise walk for miles.

This is part of an ongoing ministry: in 2025, friends of Agape Way fully funded 10 ministry bicycles, and the wheels keep turning — carrying children to church gatherings, outreach events, and village ministries across the region. At Pastor Phearum Ean’s church, children needed bicycles simply to get to church and school. Each bike multiplies a pastor’s reach: children who can get to church can be discipled, taught, and loved in person, week after week.

Behind every bicycle is a child growing up in deep poverty — many of them sponsored through Agape Way’s student program — who now has a reliable way to join their church family each week.
