In Cambodia’s rural villages and small cities, God is at work—often under trees, in schools, and along dusty roads. Pastors and leaders are serving among the poorest of the poor, and the Gospel is bearing fruit in ways that deeply encourage us.
This is frontline ministry.
The needs are ongoing because the work is ongoing—not crisis, but faithful Gospel advance.
🌟 Sisophon: Villages, Schools, and New Life
Children & Schools (3/11–12):
In the villages around Sisophon, we were welcomed into three primary schools, where over 500 students gathered to hear the Gospel through the Wordless Book. Teachers also listened, and students raised their hands to pray and follow Jesus.
Leaders in Training (Mon–Thu):
Throughout the week, 30+ students and youth leaders received training on:
- Sharing the Gospel with children
- Telling Bible stories clearly and faithfully
- Developing Christian characters
- Christian perspectives on AI
Baptisms at Pastor Say Yon’s Church:
We rejoiced as 22 new believers were baptized—among them the sister of a 17‑year‑old new mother and a woman who had been seriously ill and is now healed. Hymns rose from the riverbank as believers stepped into the water two by two.

Loved by the Children:
Pastor Say Yon has a joyful gift with children. After sharing the Gospel, he often ends with a simple magic trick, filling the space with laughter and building trust that opens young hearts.
The Local Team Serving the Poorest Villages:
Pastor Phearum, Pastor Say Yon, Pastor Say Yok (his elder sister), Pastor Ponlauk, Pastor Sok & Pastor Khuy.
Together, they shepherd 25 church gatherings—many meeting under houses or trees—traveling village to village two times a week, Monday through Saturday, to teach, disciple, and encourage.

Pailin: Faithful Witness in a Small City
On 3/13, Pastor Niya brought us from Sisophon to Pailin, a city of fewer than 80,000 people, where there are currently about 25 Christian churches. His own congregation is about 40 believers, faithfully serving the poor.
Our first stop was a private school led by a Christian principal. Mrs. Hsu shared the Gospel using the Wordless Book, and that day all 47 students and teachers raised their hands and prayed to accept the Lord.
On 3/15, Mrs. Hsu also shared a message at Pastor Niya’s church, encouraging parents and grandparents to cultivate Christian character—especially honesty—and to pass these values on to their children and grandchildren.

Phnom Penh: Remembering History, Seeking Understanding
We spent two nights and one day in Phnom Penh, where we had the opportunity to learn more about Cambodia’s history and culture by visiting the Royal Palace and the Killing Fields. These visits deepened our understanding of the nation’s suffering—and our gratitude for the quiet, resilient faith we see today among believers.
Travel Update, Praise & Prayer
I am now in Hangzhou, spending time with my parents and siblings.
Mrs. Hsu is currently in Taipei and will travel to the United States on 3/19.
Please pray for:
- Safe and smooth travel for Mrs. Hsu on 3/19
- Continued health and strength for both of us
- Wisdom and rest as we transition from Cambodia to our next seasons
We also want to praise the Lord for sustaining Mrs. Hsu with remarkable health and energy. At 80 years old, she faithfully led training and sharing the Gospel in past 8 days, while I facilitated a workshop on Christian perspectives on AI and how it can be used for good. We are deeply grateful for God’s grace in every step.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer. Because you pray, the frontline is not empty.
With gratitude,
Anna (and Mrs. Hsu)
