Love in Action: Hope on the Border

Your love can reach refugee families and pastors serving under fire today.

Love in Action: Hope on the Border

“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

Dear Friends,

This Valentine’s Day, we’re inviting you to let love take tangible form—food for hungry families, shelter for the displaced, and strength for pastors serving under fire along the Thailand–Cambodia border.

In recent months, 372 families received emergency food and 177 families received tents, mosquito nets, and shelter materials.

Pastors tell us the situation remains fragile—gunfire near villages, fields and homes occupied, bombs dropped in December, and some churches unable to meet out of fear. Yet even in this darkness, the Gospel is being welcomed.

How Your Love Helps Today

  • $50 helps deliver emergency food to a family in crisis.
  • $100/month sustains a frontline pastor—fuel, visits, prayer, and practical care.
  • Any amount strengthens refugee outreach (milk for babies, reading materials, and essentials).

A Pastor Who Shows Love With Every Step

Pastor Yok visits her six home-church groups every week — all on a bicycle — often riding for hours across rough roads to pray with families, teach the Word, and encourage new believers.

Her church has saved $250 toward a simple motorcycle. She needs $1,200 more to reach families faster.

A Family in Deep Hardship

This week, Pastor Paul and his wife met a mother who collects bottles to buy food for her family. They visited her home and found a makeshift shelter with a broken plastic roof and no walls.

Rain and cold make it unbearable, and the children have been unable to attend school. Paul shared the hope of Jesus and brought rice and vegetables.

P.S. On Feb 1, Pastor Phearum’s church gathered for the first worship service in their newly completed building — a beacon of hope.
